11 Types of Advertising

ASSIGNMENT 7th and 8th Grade Cohorts

 1.  Screen this video, 11 Types of Advertising, stopping to analyze each commercial exemplar.  You will be specifically looking for, and answering the following questions or prompts (Be sure to rephrase each prompt as you draft your responses):

  • How does the example commercial fit the category with which it has been paired?
  • Identify both the product and the brand.
  • How does each category listed here correspond to an intended audience? 

2.  Define each separate category by means of the commercial that is in the video provided as an example.  Use the organizer handed out in class on Friday March 20, 2015.  If you do not have this organizer, look in the Student Resources link on the tool bar at the top of the blog.

 3.  You may complete this assignment on-line in the comment section at the bottom of this blog.  Or, you may fill out the organizer.  As a third option, you may draft your responses by hand or in Google docs (and share with Mr. Freelon.)

    The example of Pleasure meaning was the same as the video it show how they are enjoying themselves and are satisfied the product was chocolate bars and the brand is snickers each category listed here relates to the intended audience because it relates to them and is realistic
